Linda, Michael's (long suffering) wife, driver, dresser and social secretary, accompanies her husband to Town Crier competitions throughout the realm, in the role of escort. She appears in costume on these occasions and has scored notable successes as the Best Dressed Escort to a Town Crier. Firstly, at the European Town Crying championships at Tavistock in 2000, and won the same accolade at the British National Open Championship at Hastings 2002.

Linda makes all her own costumes after careful research to ensure that her outfit complements the era of Michael's uniform.
